I really love what you guys do and was really sad to see that all your recent casts had dropped out of my subscription through downcast.. i hope this is a temporary glitch – would prefer not to go through another app just to listen to what i am sure is a wonderful new installment.

The problem is with downcast using the wrong feed. It’s a problem we’re encountering with a lot of the smaller podcatchers who didn’t keep up with updates we made over the past six weeks and are now drawing data from the wrong place. We’re trying to correct them all, but had never even heard of this one! We’ve reached out them this morning. You can help by letting us know if they make the requested correction. They should be able to update the feed and have 27 episodes there for you within a few hours, depending on how responsive they are. We appreciate the feedback!

Eddard Stark was/is my favorite character in the series, though he was departed. Thanks so much for doing such an excellent episode about him.

Another great one – worth the wait – and now can’t wait for Robt’s Rebellion. On the podcast provider issue … I just download them from youtube using MediaHuman (free) and listen to the resulting mp3s in the car (or on phone). Is there some advantage (for us, or for you) to consuming these delectables via whatever it is you’re having so much trouble implementing?
The other advantage to having the mp3s is that these episodes are so pleasant to listen to and deeply packed with detail that I can listen to the whole run of 27 every three months or so and pick up (or remember) new details. After a re-reading they also seem “as new”.
As for length, the longer the better, but also the more frequent the better – so basically, whichever makes the total amount of accumulated RW material increase faster. I’m a complete glutton for this stuff.

Thanks Kevin! You can download mp3s from either platform, so however you prefer to download and listen is the best way for you. It’s going to be the same product no matter where you find it, although different ads will appear on YouTube vs ACast. Our difficulties should be behind us and mostly involved delicately balancing the podcast feed with the feed for this website and trying to avoid confusion between the two with all the various podcatchers of the world. (We almost succeeded at that too.) Anyways, we appreciate you support and patience as we work through it all. Hoping we can keep up the pace as we move into 2017. Cheers- LG

Beautiful. So many pertinent points and explanation of the deeper and nuanced influences on the plot in its entirety. Sadly haunting readings so superbly read by you both. YB is spot on with his High Septon voice. The music at the end captures the emotion of Ned’s love and honor for me, the reader. I like the point you make of how, through Jon, Ned’s “mercy” may indeed be the winning stroke of the game of thrones. Interesting points on Ned’s 3 decisions. Do you also find it fascinating how Ned sending out Beric Dondarrion makes an eerily poignant turn smack dab into Cat’s/Lady Stoneheart’s arc? You’ve inspired me to consider that and so much. Thank you, thank you.

Thank you so much (as always! :)) for the thoughtful comments. I have to say I was floored when I read the bit about Ned and Beric, I’m not sure I’ve ever seen it pointed out in that way. But now that you mention it, yes it’s utterly fascinating to consider that Ned is (indirectly) responsible for LSH. I suppose it’s yet another testament to the depth of ASoIaF and how, like a crystal, you can always find a new facet if you look at it from a different angle.
